Newtown Babe Ruth Softball is a registered nonprofit organization that has been serving the youth of our community for nearly 40 years.  We offer house recreational leagues in the Spring & Fall, Travel teams which compete and train throughout the year, and off-season clinics and lessons.

The Newtown Babe Ruth Softball organization is committed to providing a stimulating and rewarding athletic experience for all girls in the community. Our programs are designed to elevate self-esteem and good sportsmanship through the development of individual and team skills in a positive social environment.

Each member of authority will conduct themselves with the highest level of integrity and fairness and will operate within the bylaws of the organization. As a nonprofit, volunteer organization, NBRS relies on the commitment of parents and others to fill all coaching and administrative positions, and on the generosity of sponsors to keep our programs affordable. To the extent possible, the organization provides financial assistance to eager participants who would otherwise be excluded.

The Board of Directors as well as all volunteers will consistently strive to enrich both the recreational and travel programs by being open to new ideas and implementing change as necessary in order to ensure continued league success now and in the future.

As a community non-profit, our organization exists thru the strength and dedication of our volunteers.

We currently are looking for team Coaches/Managers, Equipment Managers, and Website/Registration Coordinator.

If you are interested in assisting, please contact Patrick McCleary, League President, or 203.517.5081
